For LGP & LSP instructors at universities and universities of applied science in Germany, there is the AKS, the Association of University Language Centres, as a professional platform. LSP is definitely a topic at their conferences and among its members, but so far no special interest group exists. We (Language Centre at Osnabrück University) are trying to establish some sort of SIG for EAP within the AKS. At the AKS’s online conference on 4 & 5 March 2021, we’re organising a series of workshops on different EAP-related topics to raise interest among AKS members and attempt to reach those members interested in creating a professional network.
