    Hi everyone,

I’m currently planning some energy-efficiency upgrades for my home and have been researching the cost of blown in insulation for my attic. I’ve checked a few websites and spoken with a couple of contractors, but the prices seem to vary quite a bit depending on the insulation type and the condition of the attic.

Some companies recommended fiberglass while others suggested cellulose, saying it provides better coverage for small gaps and older homes. I also found out that costs can increase if old insulation needs to be removed or if air sealing is required before installation.

My main goal is to make the house more comfortable during both summer and winter while hopefully lowering energy bills at the same time. For anyone who has already had blown-in insulation installed, was the investment worth it? I’d really appreciate hearing real experiences, average costs, or any advice before I move ahead with the project. Thanks!
