I’ve been exploring book cover ideas for my upcoming release and noticed how much the trends have changed in the past couple of years. It got me thinking — what are the latest trends you’ve seen in book cover design?

I’ve personally noticed a rise in minimalist styles with bold typography and a single strong image. Some covers are even ditching detailed graphics for clean color blocks and vintage fonts. I’ve also seen hand-drawn illustrations making a big comeback, especially in romance and fantasy genres.

What trends are standing out to you? Do you think authors should follow the trends or stick to classic designs that fit their genre?
