Frans Oosterholt has studied Spanish Philology and Literary Studies in Amsterdam (UvA), Alcalá de Henares (UAH) and Barcelona (UAB). He has translated dozens of Spanish and Catalan novels into Dutch. As a language trainer he taught Spanish in the Netherlands and Dutch in Spain. In 1997 he founded the Dutch department of the Official Language School of Barcelona (EOIBD). In 2008 he set up a small Barcelona based language training company. Ever since he has been interested in how to improve the quality of language training, while reducing the cost, without cutting teachers’ income. He hopes to contribute to this within the CATAPULT project.
